Heidelberg is located to the east of Boksburg and Vosloorus, on the east rand. Access is convenient and fast, as the N3 highway to KZN is routed through the town.

This township is directly opposite the new Heidelberg Mall, and close to existing community facilities which include schools, churches, crèches, and entertainment.
